CAREER
From 1972, he was attached to the directorate of financial affairs at Société Générale. During the same time he was assistant professor at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Rouen.
From 1980 - 1984 he was director of the bank Odier Bungener Courvoisier.
He is currently a director of L'Oréal S.A.. He has been a Board member since 1987 and Vice Chairman since 1994.
He is also Vice Chairman of the Bettencourt-Schueller Foundation.
