CAREER
1968 - joined the Nestlé Group's operating company in Austria. There, Mr. Brabeck-Letmathe started as a salesman, later becoming a specialist for new products.
1970 - national Sales Manager, later director of Marketing, Nestlé Chile.
1981 - appointed Managing Director, Nestlé Ecuador.
1983 - appointed Managing Director, Nestlé Venezuela.
1987 - transferred to Nestlé's international headquarters in Vevey as Vice President in charge of the Culinary Products Division.
January 1 1992, appointed Executive Vice President of Nestlé S.A. with worldwide responsibility for Strategic Business Group 2. This encompassed: Food, Buitoni, Chocolate and Confectionery, Ice Cream, Petfood, as well as Industrial Products (Aromas). At the same time, he had worldwide responsibility for Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs. In particular, during his time as Executive Vice President, he conceived and put into place the unique branding policy of Nestlé, characterized by a strict hierarchy of strategic brands on the global, regional and local level.
June 5 1997, at the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Nestlé S.A., Mr. Peter Brabeck-Letmathe was elected Member of the Board of Directors. On the same day, the Board appointed him Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé S.A.
April 5 2001, the Board of Directors of Nestlé S.A. elected as Vice Chairman of the Board.
April 14 2005, elected Chairman of the Board of Nestlé S.A.
