Dietary prevention and management of allergies in childhood – An outlook into the future

Pediatric food allergy is becoming a concern in various parts of the world. At a recent Nestlé Nutrition Institute Satellite Symposium held during the XXII World Allergy Congress in Cancún, México, distinguished speakers discussed the diagnosis and treatment of severe cases of food allergy and reviewed recommendations on the dietary management of food and cow’s milk allergy in children.

The experts also introduced oral tolerance induction as an approach to treat food allergy.
