Massaging your baby
Massage is great for full-term babies. It is the perfect way to create strong bond between the parent and the baby, allowing both to share a relaxing moment.
What you need to know about massage.
It can:
- soothe the baby and relieve him/her from colic, constipation or any other growing-up pains.
- encourage better sleeping as the baby is more relaxed.
- Give a boost to the baby's immune system and mobility.
When and how to massage your baby?
This should be a pleasant moment for both of you.
1 - Ensure your baby is not hungry or unwell.
2 - Try to put aside any stress or preoccupationS you might have.
3 - Put some comfortable and soft towels on the ground for the the baby to lie on.
4 - Ensure the room temperature is warm so the baby is not cold when being massaged.
5 - Before pouring baby oil in your hands, take off your rings and make sure your hands are warm. To avoid allergic reactions, do not use aromatherapy oils.
