Chicken every Sunday

My Dad raised chickens, so every Sunday before we left for Church, Mother would put chicken in this big iron pot on the stove and when we got home it would be done and the whole house would smell so good, along with mashed potatos and veggies. Chicken fricasée, I can almost smell it still.
