Did you forget something?

My husband was making oatmeal cookies from scratch. Mixing all the ingredients together and spooning balls of the mixture onto the cookie sheet, he pops them in the oven and sets the timer. When the time is up we were surprised to see flat circles of crispy dough on the sheet. This certainly was not what he was cooking. You must have forgotten something, I tell him. So together we start over again while we are munching the tasty little disks. The next batch came out even crispier than the last and much better tasting but just as flat. We decided that the first time we forgot the oatmeal but the second time we forgot the flour. We were having a moment of marital bliss and created oatmeal crisps. Sure that recipe was not new but we still laugh about it.
