When I was growing up my grandmother would make me Toll House Cookies every time I visited. As she got older and unable to cook, I began making them for her. When I make them I don't normally use nuts, but she really liked nuts. So, I would bake a batch and give them to her. I found out later that she refused to share them with anyone and would freeze them so she could eat them over a longer period of time. It was then that I began to bake two batches - one for her with nuts ,and one for the rest of us without. I did this until her death at the age of 101. I am now the Toll House Cookie baker in the family.
