Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups / 300 g Sugar
- 2/3 cup / 175 ml CARNATION Evaporated milk
- 2 tbsp / 2 tbsp Butter (or margarine)
- 1/4 tsp / 1/4 tsp Salt
- 2 cups / 100 g Mini Marshmallows
- 1 1/2 cups / 225 g NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi sweet chocolate morsels (* see cooks note)
- 1 cup / 250 g Peanut butter (chunky or regular)
- 1 tsp / 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup / 75 g Peanuts, plain (chopped)
Preparation steps
- COOKS NOTE: If Nestlé Toll House Semi sweet morsels are not available in your area you can use a dark/plain Nestlé Chocolate to replace them. Select a Nestlé chocolate with 45-55% cocoa solids. Chop the chocolate into small pieces before using in the recipe
- Line an 8 inch/20cm square baking pan with kitchen foil.
- Combine the sugar, Nestlé Carnation Evaporated milk, butter and salt in a medium, heavy-based (heavy duty) saucepan. Stir well and bring to a full rolling boil over a medium heat stirring constantly.
- Boil, stirring all the time, for 4-5 minutes. Remove from the heat.
- Stir in the marshmallows, Nestlé Toll House morsels or chopped Nestlé Chocolate, peanut butter and vanilla extract. Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until the marshmallows are melted.
- Pour into the prepared pan, spreading the mixture evenly in the pan. All to cool for a minute before topping with the chopped peanuts - press them lightly onto the surface.
- Chill for 2 hours or until firm. Lift from the pan, remove the foil and cut into 48 pieces.
