A delicious layer of thick caramel on a biscuit base, topped with bananas and cream. Recipe from Nestlé UK.
I rue the day when I found this recipe!

I thought, one day, when I was preparing for a party 'how about a banoffee pie?'. So I went on-line and found the Nestle recipe. Ever since I made it (actually, I made two large ones)everyone wants me to make it now when they have a party. They rave on about it as if it is some kind of cordon bleu creation. I am banoffeed out now and am considering becoming a recluse. Thank you Nestle.

Very easy to make, but very delicious. Could have half the caramel. I laid the banana down on the base and then poured the caramel on top.

This is my favourite dessert ever! You'll love it and so will everyone else you serve it to. It doesn't require too much baking know how but it delivers! You'll be very proud of yourself when you see how tasty and pretty it comes out, it's a real induglence! I tweaked the recipe slightly by adding a mashed banana to the whipped cream, it makes it that extra bit banana'ary (if thats a word)! Can't shout about this enough. mmmmm...

A really scrummy pudding. If you find the pie too sweet or are worried about calories, cut down the sugar to half the amount stated. It is still as yummy and it works!

This is a fab recipe, and it can be made lower in calories, but takes a LOT more time. The condensed milk can be caramelised by standing the open tin in a pan of boiling water, approx half way up its side (take care not to let water splash into the milk) for around 4 or 5 hours - until the milk actually looks like a toffee syrup. Obviously you need to keep topping up the boiling water, and the milk needs to be stirred regularly, but not continuously. The caramel isn't as thick as the cooking with butter and sugar, but it tastes as good (in my opinion) and excludes the calories in the butter and sugar. Another reduction could come from using part low fat lower calories biscuits for the base.

Mate........that was the best banoffee that I have ever tasted and was easy to make!

Made this today fantastic, could make it lower fat by using creme fraiche instead of cream, and i don't know if there is a lower fat condensed milk. Also could use apple instead of banana mmm

This is now an absolute favourite with all my friends and has secured my reputation for fab puddings (this is top of the chart!) I make it lower calorie by using low calorie whipping cream, and low fat digestive biscuits, which don't compromise the flavour at all, but I hope reduce the calories!!...however don't be tempted to substitute the Condensed Milk for the low fat variety.....the two times I have tried to do this it went drastically wrong!!

I love this banoffee recipe! I get nagged to make when we go to see friends. I use half mascapone cheese half cream for the topping though and its takes a little of the sweetness out of it so you can eat a bigger piece. Sometimes it even lasts two days (but not often).

It's so easy to make and tastes fabulous, but the hardest part is waiting till it's ready to eat.

this is a very luvly dessert, and a favourite with the kids. I had this suggestion, we can use chocolate flavoured cream instead of the classic one. It'll be a great treat for all chocolate lovers.
