The graph shows the increase in daily calorie intake from beverages by adults in the
USA
between 1965 and 2002. Total calorie intake rose from around 230 calories per day, with whole fat milk contributing the largest proportion of intake, to well over 400 calories per day in 2002, with soda and fruit drinks contributing significantly the largest proportion of intake.
