What is Nestlé doing in response to the horsemeat issue?

   

We are suspending deliveries of all finished products containing meat supplied by a German firm H.J. Schypke, a subcontractor of our supplier JBS Toledo N.V. We are voluntarily withdrawing one frozen product used by catering industry and two chilled products made from beef supplied by the firm after samples tested positive for horse DNA, above 1%.

We are enhancing our quality assurance programme by adding new tests on beef for horse DNA prior to production in Europe.
