In the Po river valley water is scarse during the summer and there is the necessity of reducing the amount of water used for irrigation

Programme description

Nestlé worked with CIO (Consorzio Interregionale Ortofrutticoli), a cooperative of tomato farmers, in a three year project aiming to maximize tomatoes’ quality and production and optimize irrigation in 10 pilot farms.
