Will these be full-time jobs / part-time jobs / apprenticeships / other?

The Youth employment initiative is based on four pillars:

  1. We will hire 10,000 young people aged below 30 across Nestlé sites in Europe and in all functions by 2016
  2. We will open 10,000 apprenticeship and traineeship positions across Nestlé sites in Europe by 2016
  3. We will create “Readiness for work” programmes delivered at schools and colleges across Europe and also at Nestlé sites (interview training, CV cleaning, job market tips etc.)
  4. We will set up an “Alliance for Youth” with our main suppliers across Europe to join the initiative and to create work opportunities for young people

What kind of jobs will there be?

The roles being offered as part of the initiative will be across all different business areas and at all levels within the company: from factory operators, to sales assistants and business management, according to our business needs and country-specific contexts. All of them will be opportunities to learn and grow.


Will apprentices and trainees be offered fixed jobs afterwards?

We want apprenticeships / traineeships to be the first step on a career ladder for young people, either with Nestlé or with other companies. Depending on the needs of the business, some of them will continue at Nestlé.

Do you hire young apprentices below the age of 15?

No apprentices below 15 years old should be hired.
