The Superbabies are back! Supporting World Breastfeeding Week

The Nestlé Start Healthy Stay Healthy “Superbabies” are back, supporting World Breastfeeding Week. Nestlé Start Healthy Stay Healthy educates parents and caregivers on the right nutrition and feeding practices in the First 1000 Days – including breastfeeding as the best nutritional start in life.

Last year we reached 20 million mothers globally through educational campaigns like Superbabies.

Breast milk provides the best nutrition for baby. It’s why Nestlé promotes the World Health Organization’s recommendation of exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of life and beyond, followed by the introduction of adequate nutritious complementary foods along with sustained breastfeeding up to two years of age. It’s also why we celebrate World Breastfeeding Week every year the first week of August.

The protective effects of breast milk go far beyond its benefits during infancy and childhood. It plays a role in reducing the risk of developing health conditions in later life such as obesity and diabetes.

Our dedication to the best nutrition for babies ensures we create welcoming breastfeeding environments also for our employees. Our Global Maternity Protection Policy ensures maternity, paternity and adoptive parental leave and is one of the most progressive programs of the industry. This includes supporting breastfeeding in the workplace by having more than 200 breastfeeding rooms available to mothers globally.

This year, our Superbabies campaign encourages everyone around breastfeeding mothers to support them during this important period. Support them by using the hashtag #HelpMomsBreastfeed.
