Optimal hydration in children: new insights

On October 7, 2012 the Nestlé Nutrition Institute hosted a Satellite Symposium at the Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo (FNCE) in Philadelphia, USA.

Three speakers addressed the topic of hydration in children:

  • Prof. Gérard Friedlander : “Hydration Status of Children in the US and Europe”
  • Prof. Adam Drewnowski: “Are the DRIs for Water Being met?”
  • Maureen Pisanick: “Hydration Habits for Healthy Kids”

The conference highlighted the importance of maintaining good hydration status in children on a daily basis to ensure optimal body function.
