Changes in Nestlé S.A. Executive

Nestlé S.A. today announced the following changes in its Executive Board to take place over the coming months:

Mr. Frank Cella, Executive Vice President in charge of the Strategic Business Units and of Marketing, will retire at the end of 2003 after more than 40 years of service for the company. He will be succeeded by Mr. Ed Marra, Market Head of Nestlé Canada until September 30, 2003. Mr. Marra has joined Nestlé Headquarters as of today in order to prepare his official entry into function as Executive Vice President on January 1, 2004.

Mr. Carlos Eduardo Represas, Executive Vice President responsible for Zone Americas (U.S.A., Canada, Latin America and Caribbean) has expressed his wish to take an early retirement as of July 1, 2004, after more than 35 years of service for Nestlé. He will remain Chairman of the Board of Nestlé Mexico and member of the Board of Dreyer's after his retirement. Mr. Represas will be succeeded by Mr. Paul Bulcke, Market Head of Nestlé Germany until September 30, 2003. Mr. Bulcke who has more than 15 years of market experience in several Latin American countries will take over the responsibilities of Mr. Represas gradually over the coming nine months until his official entry into function as Executive Vice President on July 1, 2004.
