Nestlé NAN H.A. 1 Gold infant formula

Aug 9, 2012

In Australia we have been contacted by consumers with complaints about the new NAN H.A. 1 Gold infant formula.

The safety and quality of our products is a non-negotiable priority for the company.

Every single batch of NAN H.A. infant formula undergoes extensive testing before it leaves the factory. We put strict quality control procedures in place throughout the manufacturing process, testing everything from raw materials to finished products to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

We are constantly renovating our range of products as we improve their nutritional profile, taste, flavour and composition. The introduction of a new NAN H.A. range of infant formula products in June 2011 was part of that process. We have received a number of enquiries from consumers who are aware of the change. Among those have been complaints from people who describe adverse reactions in their children which they have linked to the new product. These complaints come from those who have switched from the old product to the new product.

We understand the concern of those whose babies were unwell, and we want to reassure them that NAN H.A infant formula, like all our products, meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Our consumer services helplines provide the most comprehensive and up to date information about our products. Nestlé health professionals are available on the helplines to discuss any concerns a consumer might have.

In Australia we have repeated the thorough tests we run before the product leaves the factory and shared the results with the local authorities.  The results reconfirm our findings that the product is safe.
