I joined the marketing team as an intern. I went from there to Junior Brand Manager, supporting the point of sales and the digital communications. Then became Digital and eCommerce Manager for Nescafé Dolce Gusto.
Every day is an adventure when it comes to marketing. I am part of a team that implements campaigns, manage social media and the D2C (Direct to consumer) platforms, and provides e-content for sales teams and e-retailers. One of the most important parts of my role is to work with local agencies to deliver it all.
We’ve done some amazing things with the brand. Nescafé Dolce Gusto is the no.1 coffee capsule brand in Korea, and we wanted to find new ways for consumers to engage with it. The result was a Consumer Party to enjoy 6 senses branded experiences. We invited 1,000 consumers via Instagram and we offered real-time broadcast. It was really successful and went viral on social media.
The Digital Acceleration Team (DAT) has been one of the best experiences of my career so far. I’ve just started the experience at the
DAT. It is an 8 month experiential training programme comprised of real projects to drive knowledge in digital, social and e-commerce. We are a team of 17 people from 12 different countries working at the headquarters in Switzerland. Being part of a team that helps change the way we do business is why I like my job so much.
Inspiration doesn’t just come from your own team. At the
DAT I have the opportunity to work with colleagues from different divisions and also with global companies like Facebook, Google and Amazon.
The diverse and global environment is amazing too. It’s one of the things that I love the most about working at Nestlé. It’s very open-minded, so I can express my ideas and have lots of opportunities to lead projects. Friendly, talented colleagues always inspire me.
I used to dream of working for a brand that touches daily life. Nestlé is the no.1 food and beverage company and has really diverse brands. That’s always attractive for a marketer.
