Nestlé Chairman writes to shareholders on Articles of Association

Nestlé Chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe

Nestlé Chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe has written to shareholders, explaining the proposed changes to the company’s Articles of Association which follow the revision of Swiss corporate law.

“We want to provide maximum transparency and fairness to our shareholders, while we preserve the stability that we need to run our company efficiently and competitively,” he says in the letter which is included in the invitation to Nestlé’s Annual General Meeting due to take place on April 10th.

The letter explains that the revision of the Articles of Association is taking place a year ahead of the legal requirement “in order to create the legal certainty that we need for our company and in order to live up to our own commitment to be at the forefront of corporate governance practices in Switzerland”.
