Clean drinking water for 30,000 in Pakistan

30,000 more people in Pakistan now have free access to clean drinking water, after Nestlé built three facilities in the country to provide it as part of its commitment to extend access to water and sanitation.

The new plants are located near Nestlé’s factory in Kabirwala, Central Pakistan. The company has taken on direct responsibility for maintaining them, to ensure high quality water.

Nestlé now has eight clean drinking water plants in the country, which benefit more than 50,000 people every day.

We are committed to water access and conservation, and have already exceeded our objective of providing access to water, sanitation and hygiene facilities for 350,000 people worldwide by 2016.
