Machine-made matcha green tea is now a reality, as Nescafé Dolce Gusto launches the world’s first capsules to make this possible in Japan.
Matcha is a finely powdered green tea that is especially high in antioxidants. It has been prepared, served and drunk during elaborate tea ceremonies in Japan for centuries.
The new Nescafé Dolce Gusto Uji Matcha capsules use only tea sourced from the famous Uji region near Kyoto. They will be available nationwide from February, after successful trials in Hokkaido prefecture.
