Nestlé studies diet and lifestyle of Spanish families, launches online tool to help

A lack of understanding of nutrition is the key reason Spanish families are not consuming the right amounts of fruits, vegetables, water, fish and red meat, a Nestlé study has found.

The study, which examined diets, nutritional habits and lifestyles in Spain, found 7 out of 10 people do not consume the recommended five portions of fruits and vegetables a day while 90 percent of those surveyed do not eat a full breakfast.

To help increase nutritional understanding and encourage a healthy lifestyle, Nestlé Spain has launched The Health Train, a website that helps both families and individuals plan healthy meals, improve eating patterns and incorporate physical activity in their daily routine.
