Sustainability first
Milkybar is using sustainably sourced cocoa from the Nestlé Cocoa Plan that is certified by the Rainforest Alliance. Under the Nestlé Cocoa Plan, Nestlé is working with the Rainforest Alliance to support the livelihoods of cocoa farmers by implementing practices such as trainings on diversification of income and encouraging more sustainable practices like helping to increase native vegetation by planting local tree species.

The Milkybar story
1936
The discovery of white chocolate: Milkybar is born
The staff in the Nestlé kitchen add cocoa butter to a batch of Nestrovit - a vitamin-enriched condensed milk for children. Their aim was to make a solid tablet form of the milk. Instead, they invented white chocolate.
Nestlé realizes it can make non-medicinal versions of Nestrovit. And so, Milkybar is born.
1961
"The Milkybars are on me"
An icon is introduced to our screens as the Milkybar Kid makes his first TV appearance. Milkybar becomes the snack everyone wants to try.
1987
Milky goodness in buttons
Milkybar Buttons launch as the UK's first entirely white chocolate drop. And with the Milkybar Kid as circus ringmaster, he takes charge of a machine turning Milkybars into Milkybar Buttons.
1989

Milkybar Raisins are born, alongside seasonal products such as advent calendars and Easter eggs.
2000s
