We only use high-quality fruits for our ice cream flavors. Our sun-ripened apricots come straight from one of the sunniest spots in Switzerland - the canton of Valais.
Our ice cream's main ingredients are cream and milk - around 37% on average. And our sorbets are made with real fruit purees and fruit pieces, to let you savor the intense fruit flavor with no artificial additions. Mövenpick creates moments of pleasure that come directly from nature.

The story of Mövenpick
1948
An Alpine icon is born
The first Mövenpick restaurant was opened in Zürich on 19 July 1948 by Ueli Prager.
1958
Several restaurants open across Switzerland
By 1958, there were eight Mövenpick restaurants throughout Switzerland. Prager remained operating manager of the Mövenpick group until 1991.
1972
Mövenpick expands
Originally, the ice cream was produced for restaurant sales only. The Mövenpick plant in Bursins was built in 1972 to scale up production and let more people enjoy the incredible ice cream.
2003
Part of the Nestlé family
In April 2003, Nestlé bought the international rights for Mövenpick ice cream to help spread the great taste all over the world.
