As the UK's largest natural mineral water brand, Buxton is working towards closing the recycling loop on PET plastic. All bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic (excluding caps and labels) and are recyclable. Our state-of-the-art factory in Buxton was built with sustainability at its core and is powered by renewable electricity. Our pioneering water stewardship work achieved the prestigious Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) certification with platinum status, the highest level possible.

Henniez
"A Henniez, please!" is still a common phrase in restaurants when Swiss people want to drink a mineral water. Henniez natural mineral water has been valued since Roman times and has built over 120 years of brand heritage, becoming the leading Swiss mineral water, especially in restaurants.
The Henniez sources lie between meadows and woods of 70 000 reforested trees in the intensively farmed Broye valley between Bern and Lausanne. Since 2009 we have partnered with local farmers, authorities, and businesses through our ECO-Broye program to help preserve the natural quality of the water and promote water stewardship. Together we have launched initiatives such as a biogas plant to transform manure into renewable energy, agronomic consulting to help farmers use less pesticides and a drip irrigation scheme for local agriculture.
In 2025, the Henniez bottling site was certified by the Alliance for Water Stewardship, recognizing our commitment to responsible water management.

Vittel natural mineral water comes from an exceptional terroir in the heart of the Vosges Mountains. Preserving this unique environment is essential to ensuring high-quality water. For over 30 years, Vittel has taken action through the Agrivair program, working with local stakeholders to protect soils and biodiversity.
Agrivair supports and works closely with around forty local farmers to implement environmentally friendly agricultural practices: a zero-pesticide approach, the careful and limited use of fertilizers, natural soil enrichment, and crop rotation to reduce pests. Through these actions, Agrivair contributes to sustainable agriculture that protects both water resources and ecosystems.
As part of its broader biodiversity strategy, Agrivair carries out a wide range of concrete actions, including :
- The planting of trees and hedgerows and the maintenance of 240 kilometers of hedgerows since 2012, providing habitats for birds and pollinators while limiting soil erosion (also referenced in the soil protection section).
- The installation of 200 perches and nesting boxes for birds of prey, as well as shelters for bats (2018–2020), enabling natural pest regulation.
- The collaboration with French National Forestry Office (ONF) to ensure the conservation and long-term health of 300 hectares of forest (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification).
