Downloads
This component is designed to consolidate multiple documents within a single color block, providing viewers with the option to download them conveniently.
When to use
The Downloads component should mainly be used at the bottom of a page. It features a visually appealing color block that displays multiple downloadable reports, ensuring that users can easily find and retrieve the information they need with just a click.
How to use
Main considerations when using this component:
- File item. Select or Upload a file item to attach a document directly from the CMS system (Content > Media). This is the preferred option for internally hosted files.
- Download document link. Add an external document URL. This must be a valid external link (e.g., https://example.com/name.pdf).
Note: You can either select a document using the 'File item' field or add a link to external document via the 'Download document link' field. If both fields are filled in, the file item takes precedence, and the external link will not be rendered.
- Image. Use a document cover image.
- Color. The main digital color palette is available to use within this component. Be mindful when deciding whether the block color should be complementary to the image used, or whether it should be contrasting. Alternatively, if the content aligns with an impact area, the color choice could align with this.
Additional considerations
- Recommended title length: 10 - 40 characters (max. 60)
- Recommended description length (optional): 100 - 150 characters (max. 200)
- Recommended item title length (document name): 10 - 40 characters (max. 65)
- Recommended item link text length: 5 - 15 characters (max. 30)
- Recommended image size (document cover image): 180 x 222 pixels
