Kerem Hasan has won the 2017 Nestlé and Salzburg Festival Young Conductors Award.
Mr Hasan was one of three finalists for the award, with 67 applicants in total. He receives prize money of CHF 17,000 and will conduct a Festival concert at the Felsenreitschule in August 2018.
Nestlé Chairman Paul Bulcke was on hand to present the award, congratulating Mr Hasan and wishing all participants success in their future careers.
The award was presented for the eighth time. Every year it goes to a young conductor under the age of 35.
