Nestlé Waters helps develop 100% sustainable bottle

Nestlé Waters is partnering with Danone and Origin Materials, a US startup based in Califormia, to develop a PET plastic bottle made from 100% sustainable and renewable resources.

The project uses biomass feedstocks of the type used to produce cardboard or sawdust so does not divert resources or land from food production for human or animal consumption.

The project, known as the NaturALL Bottle Alliance, represents a scientific breakthrough for the sector.

The partners aim to make the new technology available to the entire food and beverage industry.

The project supports Nestlé’s ambition to strive for zero environmental impact in our operations by 2030.
