Nestlé Australia has announced a CHF 33 million (AUD 40 million) investment in its Smithtown factory on the New South Wales mid-north coast.

This investment marks the final stage of a three year project to expand the factory’s production capabilities.

This latest financing brings the total investment in the factory over the last three years to around CHF 48 million (AUD 58 million), with a large majority of the funds allocated to bring production of Nescafé Café Menu permanently to Smithtown.

The factory has been operating at Smithtown since 1921 and is the birthplace of Milo, Nestlé’s popular chocolate malt drink. The factory also manufactures Nesquik and Malted Milk.
