Quote Block
A single or multiple quotes can be displayed using a Quote Block component. It has two different display styles: Default and Small.
Quote Block (Default)

Young people today don’t just want to work somewhere where we feel comfortable. We want to work for a company that adds real value to the world. Working with the right people is key to that. The people are what makes the company live, and breathe.
I’m working to create a social network for exchanging ideas, to not only help improve the quality of life for indigenous people by giving them access to modern thinking, but to also help preserve their ancestral knowledge, their customs and traditions.
I work on my family farm here in Eden Valley with my mum, my dad and my uncle. it's just something I always wanted to do. It's a difficult time for dairy farmers, we need to look to young people to help secure a future in the dairy industry.
When to use
When writing content, we want to build trust, credibility and create an emotional connection with our audiences. Quotes can help with this. People connect with people.
Social proof is a large part of connection with a brand. Often it's not enough as a brand for us to say something, having a person commenting really helps solidify our work and cement it as having real benefit.
How to use
There are various fields within this component:
- Author name
- Author role
- Author image
- Quote text
- Link
If you fill the relevant elements in, this component will display correctly, including Nestlé Script for the author's name.
If the author has any other content that is relevant (internal or external) you have the option to add a link to it from the quote. You could also use these links to point to pages that are relevant to the content within the quote. For example, if the author references Nestlé's sustainability plans, you could link off to the relevant section with sustainability strategy, or to a recent update.
Additional considerations
- There are no restrictions on the text lengths for this component, however always bear in mind that quotes should not be too long.
- A picture of the quoted person is optional, but recommended.
- The image uploaded for the author picture should be square, the site will take care of displaying it in a circle.
- Recommended section heading length: less than 40 characters
