Ethical and responsible business practices
Guiding our organization responsibly

A responsible business must be built on strong ethics and operate with integrity.
We continue working to generate trust as an ethical and sustainable business: to inspire industry, collaborate with our peers and encourage consumers to make choices that all help in the shift toward more regenerative food systems.
Trust in Nestlé is fundamental to our culture and to the value chain evolution we are leading. Even in the absence of relevant legal or regulatory frameworks, we take a careful and considered approach to monitoring our conduct and performance.
To ensure our approach to sustainability is well-governed, we use materiality assessments to help guide our decisions, in conjunction with commitments to integrity, fairness and authenticity that are enshrined in our purpose and values (pdf, 800Kb), and alongside our Corporate Business Principles and Code of Business Conduct.
In addition, we are members of the UN Global Compact (UNGC). As a participant, we disclose our progress on the implementation of its 10 Principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and our activities in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
