Aero launched in 1935 as the first ever bubbly chocolate, has floated its way into being one of the UK and Ireland's most-loved chocolates.

Aero is using sustainably sourced cocoa from the Nestlé Cocoa Plan that is certified by the Rainforest Alliance.

We work together to help create a better future for cocoa farmers. This includes providing school kits to children in the farming communities, and training farmers in better agricultural practices, among others.

We will also introduce highly recyclable packaging by 2025.

Britain meets Rowntree's revolutionary new chocolate bar, Aero - aerated milk chocolate inside a milk chocolate coating.
1950

Welcome back

After almost a decade's pause due to wartime milk shortages, Aero is back in production.
1955

Our first TV spot

Aero is first featured on TV, with the tagline: "The milk chocolate that's different".
1959

A new kind of Aero

Aero Peppermint launches, first in the Midlands, before the rest of the UK gets a taste later in the year.
1960

Another great flavor

The Aero range keeps growing, this time with the addition of Aero Orange.
2005

Only the bubbles

Packets of Aero Peppermint Bubbles hit the shops for the first time, and become an instant favorite.
2009

Launch of the Nestlé Cocoa Plan

Nestlé launched this new sustainable cocoa plan starting with 3 cooperatives in Côte d’Ivoire. Through the plan, Nestlé works with the Rainforest Alliance to help secure a better future for cocoa farmers. Aero was one of the first chocolate brands to join the plan.
