In the third and final episode from 'The CEO Digest,' they delve into their innovative approach to kid's protein shakes and ready-to-drink products, driven by nostalgia and a commitment to offering dairy and plant-based options for all consumers.


Andrew Abraham: Mark, I know we talked a lot about innovation; I'd love to share with you a little bit about our kids innovation and our ready to drink innovation. This is a kids protein shake. As kids are among the most discerning when it comes to taste, I'd have my sons try all of our innovations, and they would be very blunt and honest.

And that's what we wanted. We wanted to make sure that we created a product that would have the best feedback. The best way to experience it is to sample it and see what you think.

Andrew Abraham: Our chocolate really tastes like chocolate milk.

Mark Schneider: I think it's delicious and just brings back all of these childhood memories.

Andrew Abraham: That's what we're trying to do. We're trying to bring those Saturday mornings back as much as possible. And actually, we developed another flavor that's a bit more unique and a bit more nostalgic.

Andrew Abraham: Our fruity cereal flavor is our newest flavor. This is one that we've been working on for a long time now, and we've just brought it to market.

Mark Schneider: Absolutely amazing. You get that taste balance absolutely right.

Andrew Abraham: It's one that's a very fun flavor. We used a cereal that's extremely popular and took the milk flavor from it. The response has been really overwhelmingly positive. We've been so happy with it.

Mark Schneider: So seems nostalgia is a big driver here in to finding these flavor profiles, and it's a good way to connect with the next generation of consumers.

Mark Schneider: It's amazing how these flavors give consumers options. Now, a lot of this, of course, is based on dairy, healthy dairy ingredients.

How about consumers that seek plant-based ingredients?

Andrew Abraham: It's a great question. And for us, we want to make sure that we have something for everybody. For every dairy option, we have a plant-based option as well.

Mark, I know you've tried a lot of the Orgain products, do you have a favorite?

Mark Schneider: The one that I really can't stop trying is the cocoa peppermint plant-based protein powder. I run through those cans in no time at all. That one just pushes the right buttons for me; I'm absolutely crazy for it.

Andrew Abraham: That's a very popular flavor, I'm not surprised! That peppermint hot cocoa flavor for us has done very well for us across the board. I'm happy to hear that.

Mark Schneider: Ties in with one of our brands in confectionery: After Eight. It's an amazing taste profile, given how clean these products are and how healthy they are, so fantastic job.
